Afrocast is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Afrocast mobile application (“Afrocast App”) and related radio services including echo f.m and Radio Diaspora.

1. Information We Collect

  • Listening Trends & Royalties

    • To monitor listening trends of Echo F.M and Radio Diaspora, Afrocast transmits royalty reports to licensing authorities.

    • When you connect to our radio broadcast, your IP address is sent to our radio service provider.

    • Upon receipt, your IP address is immediately anonymized, deleted, and rendered untraceable.

    • This information is never shared, sold, or transferred to other organizations.

  • Afrocast iOS App

    • The iOS version of Afrocast does not collect any user data when installed or launched.

  • Afrocast Android App

    • The Android version of Afrocast does not collect user data during use.

    • If applicable to your device, the app may monitor the “state” of your phone app (Idle, in conversation, call ended) to enable audio control during calls.

    • At no point does Afrocast eavesdrop, extract phone numbers, or access your personal communications.

    • The Android app may require access to local storage, solely to save its configuration and enable faster launch times.

2. How We Use Information

  • Deliver royalty reports required by licensing authorities.

  • Ensure proper functioning of audio controls when using phone apps.

  • Improve app performance through configuration storage.

3. Data Sharing & Security

  • Afrocast does not sell, rent, or trade your information.

  • IP addresses transmitted for royalty reporting are anonymized and deleted immediately upon receipt by our service provider.

  • We implement reasonable security measures to protect against unauthorized access or disclosure.

4. Your Privacy Rights

  • Since Afrocast does not retain or store personal data, there is no data to access, modify, or delete.

  • Users may uninstall the Afrocast app at any time, which removes all locally stored configuration data.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the Afrocast app and on our official website.
